This is my prayer. Make me faithful... no matter what. Outside my window... The temperature has gone from sunny and mid 70s to cloudy and cold in a matter of hours. I am thinking... December 25th only means one thing for Friend Hubby and me. For us, it is one of the saddest days of our year. It is the birthday of our Dancing Angel. This year would have been her 26th birthday. She left us at 13. From here on out, she will have been gone longer than we had her with us. Friend Hubby and I went to the cemetery alone this year. He polishes the plaque and it's surrounding marble while I arrange the flowers. I found a big hydrangea this year. We call them hortensias, which are what they are called on the island where Dancing Angel was born. I don't know how I would bear this year after year without Friend Hubby. She made us parents. Outside my window ... Sunset and 72 degrees. Summer is definitely over. I am thankful... That the Holy Spirit showed up at our Sukkot celebration. I am praying that He will continue the work of healing. I am wearing... Girl Scout T-shirt and capris. I am creating... I bought some dirt so I can plant my fall seeds. I have also been knitting a scarf. I am reading... The Face of a Stranger by Anne Perry. I had started reading the third in the series, but it kept referring to the previous books. It took me three trips to finally get the right book. I am hoping... That some of the seeds that were sown during Sukkot continue to grow. I am looking forward to.. . Getting my Girl Scout camping certificate and visiting my great-aunt soon. I am learning... How much I need and miss women's ministry. Outside my window... Why are we still having 100-degree days? Enough already!!! Autumn, where are you? I am thinking... About my grandmother. Saturday would have been her 90th birthday. This week, we lost one of our cousins that was younger than her but older than my mother. There is not a day that goes by that I don't miss confiding in my grandmother, sharing my thoughts knowing that they were taken straight from our conversation to her prayers. "The righteous is remembered forever." Psalm 112:6b I am thankful... My sister-in-law came to town and she and my niece visited with us for a few hours. In my last Daybook, I don't know if I mentioned how irritated I had been with my Sociology professor's attitude towards grief and grieving people. When I tried to show her a different perspective, she manipulatively turned my comment into an attack on my classmates. I'm not going to lie. I am not over it. The next time I
