Outside my window...  We had to break down and turn the air conditioners on already.  Oh well!

I am thinking...  About the unbelieving alarming amount of friends of Friend Hubby and I who have been diagnosed with a stroke within the past few months.  Some of them not even 50, nor are all of them overweight.  So in reaction, naturally Friend Hubby starts telling me what to eat and I start telling him how to move his body.  One of these days we will coordinate our efforts.  Actually, he's looking like he's slimming down these days so maybe I need to take note.

I am thankful... For a wonderful Passover meal with Friend Hubby and our two youngest children.  I'm also thankful for learning that the Feast of Unleavened Bread is a FEAST, not a FAST.  People who haven't learned the beauty of Yehovah's Torah think, "Oh you're in bondage.  You CAN'T eat this and you CAN'T eat that."  Some of those same people don't have a problem giving up something for "Lent," which is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible.  Some of them will even say that for dietary reasons they don't eat this or that, but they won't just eat or not eat what our wonderful Creator has prescribed!  Today, I had pizza on matzah and the leftover bitter herb salad from the Passover for lunch and it was GOOD!
(Psalm 34:8 ISR)  Oh, taste and see that Yehovah is good; Blessed is the man that takes refuge in Him!
I am wearing... My newest shirt from The Grand Duchess and soon to be Sanban's alma mater, and some knit pants.

I am creating...  My great-aunt has been messaging me to come help her fix her computer.  I need to get back to knitting those last few rows.

I am going... To finalized my FAFSA, send for my transcript and get the ball rolling for my return to school in the fall.

I am wondering... How well our dachshund has us trained.  I went to the pet resort today to make summer plans.  She's never stayed there before, so I had them give me a tour of their facilities.  After the lady showed me around, I was so specific with my requests.  "Please give her a run that doesn't get too much sun because the pavement will get hot.  Please don't give her a run on the end close to the door.  She'll be unsettled by all the coming in and going out.  Please don't give her a run on the back of the facility, she will want to view the yard.  Please give her a run in the center with a full view of the yard because she will strain her neck to see the dogs out of her line of sight.  LOL  I guess you can see that my children RARELY had babysitters.  I wanted her to participate in the Wiener Dog Races in our region, but again, it was on a double Shabbat weekend.  Maybe next year.

I am reading...  I am still reading Their Eyes were Watching God, though not much because I don't read it on a Shabbat.  I try to just focus on the Word those days.

I am watching...  I have watched a couple of interesting episodes of a show called Making it Modern.  She takes disgusting old recipes and puts a modern twist to them.  It's interesting.
I am looking forward to... Having lunch with our niece and possibly seeing an old friend from Germany this week.  I read an article this week that said that isolation is just as unhealthy as obesity.  I have been enjoying how Facebook tells me of events in my area.  This past Sunday there were two that I was interested in, but it was a double Shabbat because of Passover so I didn't go.  I am looking forward to knowing about more events like that.  One of them was a nature hike at 7:30 on a Sunday morning.  Another was a historic walk through an old minority community, sponsored by our local HBCU.

One of my favorite things...  A blessing came so Friend Hubby was able to get a new car.  It is funny how as wives we suggest things, but they go clear around the block before they come back to your idea.  I don't mind.  Taking a drive to go out to eat last night, he thanked me for bringing it to his attention in the first place.  <3

From the learning rooms...
Senior:  So, the deposit has been paid.  Now Sanban can begin to register for orientation and housing.  Have I mentioned how much nicer the dorm he is trying to move into is compared to the one that The Grand Duchess moved into freshman year.  They've really had an upgrade.

Sophomore:   I am in the planning stages for the next school year.  I have found business math curriculum, and economics class, an accounting elective.  I also found FBLA which is open to homeschoolers in my state.  They have competitions too.  I also found a camp for future business executives at our hometown university that she can attend next summer.

Next school year is shaping up great, but it's difficult keeping our minds on finishing this one.
From the kitchen... If you haven't tried the Matzah Pizza yet, you are missing out!

This recipe for Bitter Herbs Salad is going to be a staple on our Passover table from now on.
Around the house...   I got the leaven out of the pantry, but there is still more organization I want to do in there.  I also started clearing out our old square foot garden so I can empty it and start again.  Our back yard needs some leveling anyway so this will be helpful.
